Adult Bassets Potentially looking for Retirement Homes

A bonded pair of bassets need a new family due to a difficult divorce situation. Please inquire if you think you may be the perfect home for Maple & Autumn

Maple is a 7 year old spayed female.  She is large and in charge! She’s a dainty 60lbs and a diva. Maple loves any sort of attention but most especially ear rubs and belly rubs, and isn’t afraid to force you to adore her by rubbing herself into you.  She gets along well with other dogs of any size, although she doesn’t always have the energy to play for long she’s a good sport.  She loves fruits and veggies for snacks along with regular dog treats. Maple sometimes resource guards high value treats and will do the basset counter surf when she can and she will howl when she is alone, and she WILL try to steal Kleenex/toilet paper, but aside from her vices she is sweet and loving girl who is happy hiking or couch potatoing as long as she’s with you.  Maple’s special skill is that she actually lets you clip her nails!


Autumn is a (nearly) 3 year old spayed female. She’s around 35 lbs and petite.   She had a season in the sun doing puppy shows and retired to happy life at home with the ‘regular folks.’  Autumn is a lively and energetic young lady who loves to please.  She is very affectionate and loves to play fetch, give kisses and sleep snuggled up with you. Autumn loves all people and dogs she meets. She is very subtle about alerting for going outside so bells or a dog door is a plus.  She loves fruit and veggies as snacks as well as dog treats. She loves kids and loves to play.
